Colour Me Pink, the inaugural event hosted by the Jodhpur Jazz Safari, was held on 9 and 10 March 2019 to coincide with Holi. This also happened to be the time when India was preparing to deal with the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic. With official approval, our event went ahead with added measures to ensure the health and safety of all our guests, staff and artists, and was deemed a great success. The country was once again dealing with the worst of the pandemic in March 2021
Despite these challenges, the success of the launch event gave us the confidence to expand our vision and add two days and two locations to the front of our program. After the tragedy and uncertainty of the past two years, we are optimistic that our plans for 2022 will come to fruition and we can think of nothing more fitting than a grand Holi celebration, where we honor new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil.
Jodhpur Jazz Safari 2021
The name, Jodhpur Jazz Safari, is a nod to both Jodhpur’s rich safari heritage and the mobile nature of the event. Over 4 days, The Jazz Safari will travel to unique venues in 5 locations throughout Rajasthan. The days and evenings will be filled with jazz, world and traditional music, exclusive parties, cocktails and fine food. It is a stylish, joy-filled affair, exposing you to the hospitality our city is famous for and Rajasthan’s rich traditions and culture.
You can choose either a four-day or a two-day program:
The Jodhpur Jazz Safari (including Colour Me Pink Holi Festivities) runs from 15 to 18 March 2022. We start in Udaipur at RAAS Devigarh and travel on to Ranakpur, Luni, Osian and Jodhpur.
Our two-day Holi event is named Colour Me Pink. It is held on 17 and 18 March. Ticket holders for this portion of our Jazz Safari will travel to Osian where the celebrations begin on Holika Dahan and continue the next day in Jodhpur for the festival of Colours.
